ABIA State Govt. Shortlists 1,348 Applicants in Ongoing Health Workers’ Recruitment; CBT Holds soon.

The Abia State Government has announced significant progress in its ongoing recruitment of health workers, with 1,348 applicants already shortlisted out of the 1,983 who applied.

The disclosure was made by the Commissioner for Information, Prince Sir Okey Kanu, during a press briefing at the Government House, Umuahia, on Monday. The briefing was part of the outcome of this week’s State Executive Council (SEC) meeting, presided over by Governor Alex Otti.

According to the Commissioner, the shortlisting process is still in progress, ensuring that qualified candidates are carefully selected to strengthen Abia’s healthcare delivery system.

CBT Date and Venue For Abia State Civil Service

Governor Alex Otti further revealed that the Computer Based Test (CBT) for the shortlisted candidates has been scheduled to hold between August 26 and 30, 2025.

Successful candidates from the CBT will proceed to the next state, which is the oral interview

Oral Interview Date For Abia State Civil Service

The oral interview stage is set to take place from September 2 to 16, 2025.

This recruitment drive, he emphasized, forms part of the government’s commitment to reposition the health sector and enhance access to quality healthcare services across the state.
